  Kajal currently serves as Director, Engineering Technology with WorleyParsons. Hel has over 45 years of experience in Power Plant designs including over 20 years with WorleyParsons.. In his current role, Kajal provides technical direction and guidance on all facets of engineering activities from conception to completion, Operations and Maintenance aspects for various Gas turbine based simple & combined cycle plants, cogeneration and repowering.

  Kajal’s study and design experience includes over 150 different gas turbine projects and studies totaling over 130,000 MW covering small to very large advanced class (G-J class) gas turbines.

  Throughout his career Kajal has been involved in different roles including system design, engineering, engineering management of EPC proposal/projects, Owner’s Engineer, performance testing, operation and maintenance supports. He is actively involved in value engineering, technology and configuration screening and competitive bidding using LCOE approach to achieve the lowest life cycle costs.

  Kajal is a Member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He has served as a panelist and made / co-authored several presentations at various conferences such as Power-Gen, CCUG, ASME, ICEPAG, and Electric Power on various topics of power /cogen plant designs. He also coauthored a couple of cogen and IGCC articles published in Power Magazine.

  Kajal holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University, Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calcutta, India.
